Bowling Chatter ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Bowling Chatter Service Bay mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
Summary: We collect minimal data necessary to deliver service call notifications to bowling center staff. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising purposes.

- Center Code: The identifier for your bowling center location
- Authentication Credentials: Password used to access your bowling center's notification system
Information Collected Automatically:
- Device Information: Device model name for identification purposes (e.g., "Pixel 8 Pro")
- Push Notification Token: A unique identifier provided by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver notifications to your device
- Usage Data: Service call acknowledgments, message activity, and todo list interactions within your bowling center's system
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To send real-time service call notifications to your device
- Authentication: To verify your access to your bowling center's notification system
- Communication: To facilitate messaging between front desk and service bay staff
- Functionality: To manage todo lists and track service call history
- System Maintenance: To ensure reliable delivery of notifications and maintain service quality
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers with the following protections:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Secure session management with automatic timeout
- Password hashing using industry-standard algorithms
- Database access restricted to authorized systems only
Push notification tokens are stored to enable notification delivery. When you log out or switch bowling centers, your previous token association is updated or removed.
4. Third-Party Services
Our App uses the following third-party services:
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM):
- Used to deliver push notifications to your device
- Google may collect certain device information as part of this service
- Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
We do not use any advertising networks, analytics trackers, or sell data to third parties.
5. Data Retention
- Push Notification Tokens: Retained while active; automatically deactivated when invalid or when you switch locations
- Service Call History: Retained by each bowling center according to their operational needs
- Messages: Stored for operational purposes and may be retained for a limited period
- Session Data: Automatically expires after period of inactivity
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Logout: You can log out at any time, which disassociates your device from the notification system
- Notifications: You can disable notifications through your device settings
- Data Deletion: Contact your bowling center administrator or us to request deletion of your data
- Access: You can request information about what data we have associated with your device
7. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for use by bowling center employees and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us for removal.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
9. Data Controller
Each bowling center using the Bowling Chatter system is the data controller for their employees' information. Bowling Chatter provides the technical infrastructure and acts as a data processor on behalf of the bowling centers.
